About The Position

The Saddoughi Lab within the Mayo Clinic Transplant Center and the Department of Surgery is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow with a strong interest in lung regeneration and ischemia/reperfusion injury in the context of lung transplantation. This position offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of translational research, with active involvement in pre-clinical large animal models, ex vivo lung perfusion, and the investigation of cell signaling pathways driving ischemia-reperfusion injury. The successful candidate will play a key role in advancing our understanding of transplant biology through hands-on experimental work and collaborative research. We are looking for an experienced individual with a solid background in flow cytometry and macrophage biology, as well as a demonstrated interest in ex vivo organ perfusion techniques. Experience with large animal handling and surgical or procedural work is essential for success in this role. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven researcher to contribute to innovative science with direct clinical relevance in a highly collaborative and dynamic environment. A Research Fellow at Mayo Clinic is a temporary position intended to provide training and education in research. Individuals will train in the research program of a Mayo Clinic principal investigator. Qualified individuals will demonstrate the potential for research as evidenced by their training and peer-reviewed publications and should become competitive for national research grants. Proof of English proficiency is required for J-1 Short-Term Scholars, Research Scholars, Professors, Specialists, and Student Interns sponsored by Mayo Clinic.
