About The Position

We are a recently formed cell biology lab focused on studying the role cell morphology plays in signal transduction and in understanding the ways cells manipulate their shapes as a means of altering signaling towards specific cell fates. We are seeking an experienced lab manager and experimentalist to join and help shape the day-to-day operations and culture of this new laboratory.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in biology or related field
  • Several years’ experience in laboratory research

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in biology or related field
  • >5 years’ experience in laboratory research
  • Lab management experience
  • Ability to learn and develop protocols for new experimental techniques
  • Mammalian cell culture
  • Bacterial cell culture
  • Generation of stable cell lines via lentiviral vectors
  • Molecular cloning via Gibson assembly, restriction digest, PCR, etc.
  • Fluorescence microscopy

Responsibilities

  • Administrative and laboratory support duties
  • Perform cell biology laboratory research
  • Train laboratory members in experimental techniques
