About The Position
We are a recently formed cell biology lab focused on studying the role cell morphology plays in signal transduction and in understanding the ways cells manipulate their shapes as a means of altering signaling towards specific cell fates. We are seeking an experienced lab manager and experimentalist to join and help shape the day-to-day operations and culture of this new laboratory.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in biology or related field
- Several years’ experience in laboratory research
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree in biology or related field
- >5 years’ experience in laboratory research
- Lab management experience
- Ability to learn and develop protocols for new experimental techniques
- Mammalian cell culture
- Bacterial cell culture
- Generation of stable cell lines via lentiviral vectors
- Molecular cloning via Gibson assembly, restriction digest, PCR, etc.
- Fluorescence microscopy
Responsibilities
- Administrative and laboratory support duties
- Perform cell biology laboratory research
- Train laboratory members in experimental techniques
