The Survivability Discipline Group (SDG) is seeking a highly motivated entry-level engineer to support key military programs. This position is part of our Engineering Development Program (EDP). EDP participants will complete three to four rotations to build technical breadth and leadership abilities before graduating from the program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.
  • Experience creating technical documentation (reports/presentations) and presenting technical information
  • Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Active and existing security clearance required after day 1

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with creating software with common programming languages (C#, C++, Python, Java, and/or FORTRAN)
  • Familiarization with modern day gas turbine engines
  • Experience with data analysis
  • Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Construction and execution of computational models
  • Collaborate across several technical disciplines within P&W to collect inputs for analysis
  • Support production and sustainment efforts
  • Support projects across engineering and test facilities in East Hartford, CT, Middletown, CT, and West Palm Beach, FL
  • Create and report analytical/test results to team
  • Depending on background, candidate will support technical work/projects in one or more SDG disciplines
  • Travel up to 10%
