WinField United Research & Development Lab Intern, Summer 2027
About The Position
WinField United is seeking Research & Development Lab Interns for Summer 2027 at their WinField United Innovation Center in River Falls, WI. This 11-week internship (May – August 2027) offers a hands-on, purpose-driven experience in agricultural research and product development. Interns will support chemistry, biological, phenotyping, and controlled environments laboratories within the Product Development group. The Innovation Center is equipped with greenhouses, growth chambers, chemistry laboratories, and specialized research facilities. Interns will gain practical experience in executing research trials, preparing materials, operating equipment, conducting laboratory and greenhouse procedures, collecting and analyzing data, and supporting the development of new and existing products. This role provides valuable experience in applied science within a collaborative innovation environment.
Requirements
- Sophomore (preferred) or junior undergraduate pursuing a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, horticulture, plant science, plant pathology, or other related field of study.
- Required GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Responsibilities
- Assist in the execution of research trials and experiments conducted in greenhouse, growth chamber, chemistry and laboratory settings.
- Prepare materials and experimental treatments.
- Operate research equipment.
- Conduct laboratory and greenhouse procedures.
- Collect and analyze data.
- Support the development and validation of new and existing WinField United products.
- Adhere to strict safety standards when handling crop protection products in a lab setting.
- Properly wear chemical application equipment and personal protective equipment while working as required by job duties.
Benefits
- Paid $25.00/hour.
