About The Position

The Research Data Coordinator II (RDC II) independently reviews and synthesizes information from medical records—including clinic notes, pathology reports, radiology reports, and patient questionnaires—to extract data for industry, cooperative, and investigator-initiated trials according to assigned research protocols. The position manages protocol-specific data requirements for multiple research projects and ensures they align with good clinical practice and federal regulations. This fully proficient role handles complex work and determines methods and procedures for data requirements, query resolution, and data capture. It collaborates with study coordinators and monitors on protocol requirements and supports higher patient volumes and/or more complex trials than lower-level research data coordinator roles. The RDC II also assists less-experienced team members, may present at department meetings, and has opportunities for career growth within the Research Data Coordinator career path. The role works independently under limited supervision, with some latitude for independent judgment.
