About The Position

COLSA Corporation is seeking a Senior Research/Data Analyst to join its team in Dayton, Ohio. The role performs analyst functions for the KC-46 program office, including gathering information, modeling data, testing projects, and creating performance measurements to support project objectives. The analyst examines USAF maintenance data, develops models and computer programs to evaluate and predict aircraft parameter performance, and communicates findings using visualizations and reports.

Requirements

• Knowledge of quantitative techniques and methods used to develop, adapt, modify, and apply models to resolve problems or define and clarify alternative solutions.
• Experience or ability to use JMP, MATLAB, Simio, Python, and VBA.

Responsibilities

• Collect data from various USAF operating systems, identify positive and negative trends, and report detailed information using graphs, charts, and spreadsheets.
• Examine and validate USAF maintenance data, including G081, Program Depot Maintenance Scheduling System (PDMSS), and Logistics Evaluation Assurance Program (LEAP), to ensure it produces meaningful information.
• Collaborate and coordinate with USAF organizations to improve the accuracy of data inputs and help ensure desired outcomes.
• Independently develop mathematical models and computer programs using scientific inquiry to evaluate and predict aircraft parameter performance.
• Participate in study teams; originate new ideas, projects, and methodologies; and execute projects and studies within established financial and time constraints.
• Design, build, and communicate findings using visualization techniques.
• Communicate effectively orally and in writing, negotiate complex issues, and maintain good working relations.
