About The Position

As a Research Analyst Co-op at Highland Strategy Group (HSG), you will support the consulting team by building a pipeline of subject matter experts for primary research. You will identify and engage potential experts across industries through LinkedIn outreach and cold calling, coordinate expert interview scheduling, and conduct structured outreach calls to capture preliminary information. Requirements

• Currently enrolled at Northeastern University and eligible for a co-op placement.
• Exceptional verbal communication skills, including confidence and clarity when speaking with strangers by phone and on LinkedIn.
• Strong organization and attention to detail, with the ability to track multiple workstreams.
• Comfort with high-volume outreach; persistence and a positive attitude in the face of rejection are required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• No prior professional experience is required; the posting seeks Sophomores doing their first co-op.

Responsibilities

• Identify and engage potential subject matter experts through targeted LinkedIn outreach and cold calling.
• Conduct structured outreach calls with prospective experts, administering a brief questionnaire to capture preliminary information and build understanding of new markets.
• Coordinate and schedule expert calls for the consulting team, managing logistics from initial agreement through confirmed calendar invitation.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of outreach activity, expert pipeline status, and contact information.
• Work with Associates to understand each project's target expert profile and refine outreach accordingly.
