The Robert M. Berne Cardiovascular Research Center (CVRC) is seeking a Research Associate to investigate calcium signaling mechanisms and ion channels in systemic and pulmonary vasculature within the Sonkusare Laboratory. The laboratory utilizes advanced techniques such as calcium imaging, superresolution imaging, patch-clamp electrophysiology, pressure myography, radiotelemetric blood pressure measurements, and cell-specific knockout mouse models to discover novel strategies for rescuing vascular dysfunction in cardiovascular disorders. The incumbent will contribute to various lab projects, assist in writing study reports, papers, and grant applications, and is expected to develop independent research programs. Additionally, the role involves attending laboratory meetings and seminars, and collaborating with graduate students, technicians, fellows, and other researchers.
