Part-Time Research Assistant
About The Position
The Pennsylvania State University, College of EMS is seeking to hire a part-time research associate. The part-time Research Associate will support research projects by maintaining microbial cultures, assisting with laboratory experiments, and collecting samples for chemical and microbiological analysis. Responsibilities include preparing media, monitoring culture performance, documenting experimental conditions, and helping organize and interpret research data. The associate may also contribute to data analysis, literature review, and preparation of scientific manuscripts or reports when applicable.
Requirements
- Must be a current Penn State student (not previously employed by the university) or an external applicant.
- Ability to maintain microbial cultures.
- Ability to assist with laboratory experiments.
