This is a grant-funded, non-tenure track position through 5/1/2027. Funding must be available for any continuation of appointment. This is an opportunity for highly motivated, independent, and innovative individuals to combine aquatic invertebrate biology and open technologies in a highly interdisciplinary environment. Responsibilities include one or more of following duties: (1) independent research and process development for germplasm cryopreservation, reproductive physiology of aquatic invertebrates; (2) collaboration with engineers and designers to produce hardware devices for germplasm preservation; (3) close coordination for repository development with national stock centers and groups that provide aquatic invertebrates research; (4) development of manuscripts and presentations to disseminate information; (5) animal husbandry of aquatic invertebrates, or (6) coordination of outreach efforts for community development. Work after hours including weekends may be required periodically.
