About The Position

You will join a collaborative team of scientists studying the roles of gene-environment interactions in the etiology, treatment, and prevention of human disease in an academic setting. Our investigations into complex system-level responses utilize multi-omic approaches in in vivo and in vitro models. We are seeking a person with strong experience in animal research and molecular/cellular techniques. Lab managerial and strong oral and written communication skills are required. You should possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a science-related field plus one to two years of appropriate research-based experience. A research-based master's degree may substitute for the required research experience. This is a limited position; continuation is dependent on funding availability. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant area and one to two years of appropriate experience.
  • Strong experience in animal research and molecular/cellular techniques.
  • Lab managerial skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for performing research and development experiments for projects and products in collaboration with others.
  • Regularly exercises technical discretion in the design, execution and interpretation of experiments that contribute to project goals.
  • Prepares technical reports, summaries, protocols, and quantitative analyses.
  • May participate in external seminars and scientific conferences.
