About The Position

Support the antibody discovery pipeline by conducting assays to assess antibody binding on phage, yeast, and mammalian cells. Perform analytical procedures and laboratory techniques including flow cytometry, PCR, microbial transformations, bead capture-based purification, mammalian cell culture, SDS-PAGE, and immunoassays.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related field is required
  • Bachelor’s or Associates Degree plus 2-3 years of related experience in method development or specific methodology area or a Master’s degree; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Basic knowledge of method development and experimental techniques, including applicable principles, theories, concepts, and instrumentation
  • Experience with relevant laboratory techniques such as flow cytometry, PCR, yeast or bacterial transformations, bead capture-based purification, mammalian cell culture, SDS-PAGE, or immunoassays
  • Understanding of sample handling, sample preparation, laboratory safety, standard precautions, and hazardous chemical handling
  • Proficiency with data analysis, calculations, and Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Effective organizational, interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective time-management skills and the ability to complete assigned tasks and projects with a degree of independence
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders
  • Sound judgment when evaluating analytical procedures, data quality, and results against acceptable tolerances

Responsibilities

  • Perform and document analytical procedures in accordance with company procedures, regulatory requirements, and corporate guidelines
  • Conduct assays and technical procedures supporting antibody discovery, including flow cytometry, PCR, yeast or bacterial transformations, bead capture-based purification, mammalian cell culture, SDS-PAGE, and immunoassays
  • Contribute to routine method and assay design, experimental execution, data review, technical discussions, and responses to sponsor inquiries
  • Analyze results, identify abnormal test progress or potential quality failures, and escalate unusual findings to senior laboratory personnel
  • Support troubleshooting and process improvements that enhance data quality, lower costs, or reduce turnaround times
  • Prepare buffers and solutions, maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, and upload data analysis results to ELN/LIMS systems
  • Provide hands-on training and technical support to laboratory staff in areas of demonstrated competency
  • Support laboratory safety, 6S initiatives, continuing education, and the timely production of accurate data and documentation
