About The Position

The Shiuan Chen Laboratory at the Beckman Research Institute of City of Hope is seeking a highly motivated Research Associate II or Postdoctoral Fellow. This role will join groundbreaking research in the fight against cancer. The lab recently completed a Phase II clinical trial evaluating the chemoprotective effect of mushrooms against prostate cancer progression, utilizing both in vivo and in vitro tumor models. The lab operates in a highly collaborative, interdisciplinary setting with close partnerships across clinical, computational, and translational research teams, and access to state-of-the-art institutional core facilities.

Requirements

RA II Candidates: Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree preferred.
RA II Candidates: Two years related research/laboratory experience with a Bachelor’s degree or one year related research/laboratory experience with a Master’s degree.
Postdoctoral Fellow Candidates: PhD in cancer biology, immunology, molecular biology, or a related biomedical science.
Strong hands-on experience with in-vivo mouse tumor models (e.g., PDX, organoids, syngeneic systems).
Demonstrated record of scientific productivity through peer-reviewed publications.
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative research environment.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree preferred for RA II candidates.

Responsibilities
