Research Associate II - Formulation (Contract)
About The Position
ORIC Pharmaceuticals is seeking a highly skilled Contract Research Associate II with expertise in formulation to join ORIC’s formulation and drug delivery team. The successful candidate will support ORIC’s early and late-stage drug product development activities including preclinical formulation, pre-formulation and drug product analytical testing to support solid oral dose development. This person is hands-on in the laboratory and will be responsible for data collection and analysis and will present their work regularly at team meetings. The ideal candidate will be self-driven, highly organized, focused and enjoy working in a dynamic team environment.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of hands-on experience working in a laboratory with analytical instrumentation, preferably with previous experience in pre-formulation and formulation development.
- Good oral and written communications skills.
- Enjoy working with others in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
- Self-motivated and organized, enjoy scientific investigation and thinks proactively to identify issues and develop solutions.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with HPLC in the development of analytical methods for the analysis and characterization of small molecule samples is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Research to identify and prepare preclinical formulations.
- Perform supportive stability studies and develop instructions to enable reproducible formulation preparation.
- Design and execution of pre-formulation studies to determine the chemical and physical properties of our small molecule drug candidates.
- Analytical support for our drug products which include in-process testing of powder blends and final product testing of tablets.
