About The Position

The Process Science Department is a group of scientists and subject-matter experts who conduct process and analytical development experiments in support of drug substance and drug product development. This position will work with development scientists in a non-GMP environment.

Requirements

  • Current knowledge of scientific principles, concepts, and laboratory methodologies.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to independently perform laboratory experiments following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Experience with HPLCs.
  • Team player who communicates effectively and collaborates cross-functionally with stakeholders across departments.
  • Organized self-starter with strong time management skills and the flexibility to adapt to changing business needs.
  • Solid English language communication skills, both oral and written, are required for this highly collaborative role. Willingness and ability to clearly express opinions and ask questions.
  • Excellent soft skills including a bias towards action, the ability and willingness to give and receive constructive feedback, is comfortable working within a diverse team and across multiple functions, exhibits a consistently constructive attitude, and is adaptable and at ease with handling unexpected changes and challenges.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel, with the ability and willingness to quickly learn and adopt job-specific systems and tools.
  • B.S. or equivalent degree in science (Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, etc.) or related field (Chemical Engineering, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with fundamental protein analytical methods (HPLC, SEC, SDS-PAGE, UV-Vis Spectrophotometry, etc.)
  • Experience with Empower software
  • 1+ years of experience working in a regulated environment (GMP, GLP, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine and non-routine testing in support of analytical development and process development activities.
  • Provides support to cross-functional project teams, including upstream and downstream scientists, manufacturing, and quality colleagues.
  • Effectively communicates and collaborates with staff scientists.
  • Maintains high-quality and organized records and documentation.
  • Maintains a safe work environment and adheres to all applicable regulations and requirements including compliance with internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), GMP, Health and Safety, WISHA/OSHA, regulatory compliance, company policies, and employment-related laws and statutes.
  • Communicates work through oral presentations and written documentation, including technical reports.
  • Uses professional concepts to complete data entry, data analysis and maintenance of accurate experimental records.
