About The Position

The ROCKS Research Team is seeking a motivated Research Associate I to support recruitment and administrative tasks for a behavioral research study. The Research Associate I will work under the supervision of Dr. Li-Ting Longcoy and will work as part of a team. This position conducts research by preparing literature reviews and assisting with the collection, entering, coding and cleaning of data and descriptive results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in social science or related field required.
  • Knowledge of fundamental research concepts, practices and procedures.
  • Entry level knowledge of research methods.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Follow research protocols, ensure protocol compliance, and demonstrate strong attention to detail.
  • Have experience using electronic data collection and management platforms, such as REDCap or Qualtrics.
  • Have experience using Epic or a similar electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Work independently while maintaining accuracy and high-quality work.

Responsibilities

  • Perform surveys, interviews, observations or uses other methods according to established research protocols.
  • Prepare data for analysis and execute details of studies.
  • Perform analysis and document results.
  • May conduct literature searches.
  • Order study supplies and maintain inventories.
  • Maintain detailed records of results and prepare written reports.
  • Maintain and process required paperwork.
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
  • Recruit study participants in inpatient and outpatient clinical settings and provide weekly progress reports on recruitment and study activities.
  • Administer research surveys and assist with study data collection, entry, and management.
  • Contact study participants to schedule and conduct intervention sessions, deliver the study intervention according to the established protocol, and maintain timely and professional communication with participants throughout the study period.
