About The Position

The University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) is a major urban public research university, recognized for its diverse student body and comprehensive academic programs. This position is part of the Institute for Health Research and Policy and will contribute to the Bridge and Friends research project. The role involves preparing literature reviews, assisting with data collection, entry, coding, and cleaning, and documenting descriptive results.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in social science or related field required.
• Knowledge of fundamental research concepts, practices and procedures.
• Entry level knowledge of research methods.

Responsibilities

• Perform surveys, interviews, observations or uses other methods according to established research protocols.
• Prepare data for analysis and execute details of studies.
• Perform analysis and document results.
• Collect, enter, and maintain research survey and study data in accordance with established study procedures and data management protocols.
• Conduct study intervention activities in accordance with approved IRB protocols, study procedures, and established research guidelines.
• Recruit and screen potential study participants using approved recruitment strategies and eligibility criteria.
• Monitor participant participation and follow up as needed to support retention and completion of study activities.
• Communicate study-related questions, concerns, and participant issues to the research team and assist with resolving routine study-related matters.
• Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
