About The Position

The Research Associate - CRC role is a permanent, full-time, entry-level position located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, with a hybrid work arrangement. The role requires a deep passion for economics and financial markets, driven by creativity, results, and a strong willingness to learn and develop expertise. The associate will report to a Senior Vice President (Research and Information Operations) and assist in producing quality research reports, including visually appealing charts and comprehensive analyses. Responsibilities also include handling client requests, generating charts using tools like APL, Macrobond, Bloomberg, and Excel, working with diverse financial and economic data, and contributing to the production process for various BCA products. The position operates in a fast-paced, deadline-driven atmosphere, offering ample opportunities for growth and development.

Requirements

• An undergraduate degree in commerce, finance, or economics.
• Ideally 1 to 2 years of experience in a research role.
• Experience with python is a must.
• Experience in the financial services industry, preferably within an investment institution.
• Professional fluency in French and English.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of statistical packages.
• Exposure to financial applications and time series databases.

Responsibilities

• Producing visually appealing charts and comprehensive research reports.
• Handling client requests.
