About The Position
ARK Investment Management is seeking a Research Associate focused on Autonomous Technology and Robotics, and Space Exploration strategies. This role involves conducting original analysis on cutting-edge technologies, evaluating public and private companies, and identifying investment opportunities aligned with ARK's focus on disruptive innovation. The work will directly influence venture capital and public investment decisions, with collaboration within the Autonomous Technology and Robotics team. The position also involves automating research processes and leveraging AI tools to enhance data analysis, modeling, and insight generation.

Responsibilities
- Support deal sourcing, communications with companies, and investment underwriting.
- Be embedded within the research team to extend research and investment activities, particularly in private markets.
- Support ARK’s portfolios by combining top-down thematic research and bottom-up fundamental analysis to identify investment opportunities.
- Work closely with ARK's Autonomous Technology and Robotics team to identify innovative technologies, model market growth and size, estimate unit economics, and assess the competitive landscape.
- Determine which technologies and companies are interesting or boring and disruptable.
- Research and identify private companies that are leaders, enablers, and beneficiaries of disruptive innovation.
- Form investment recommendations based on research to share with ARK’s Analysts, Directors of Research, Chief Futurist, and ARK’s CEO & CIO.
- Meet and engage with experts on research topics through X, conferences, ARK calls, or other channels, learn from them, and share ARK’s published research.
- Actively gather feedback on work through Twitter and other online platforms.
