The Research Assistant will support ongoing research projects investigating the molecular mechanisms that regulate immune cell function, with a focus on T helper cell biology and neuroinflammation. The work involves experiments using primary immune cells, molecular and cellular biology techniques, and support for studies using mouse models of neuroinflammation. The Laboratory of Chemical Immunology and Proteomics applies synthetic chemistry, chemical biology, and proteomics methods to discover and characterize selective chemical probes, mechanisms of small-molecule-induced protein degradation, and pharmacological landscapes and signal transduction pathways in immune and neuroimmunological disorders. The laboratory develops and applies chemical proteomic profiling technologies to study molecular differences between pathological and physiological states in immune and nervous-system cells and to support development of therapies targeting specific immune cell subtypes and activation states.
