The Computer Science Department (CSD) is one of the seven academic departments in the Carnegie Mellon School of Computer Science (SCS). We are seeking a Research Assistant Intern to work on research projects pertaining to theoretical and applied cryptography. Specific work assignments and research depend on assignment of Project PI. Adaptability, excellence, and passion are vital qualities within Carnegie Mellon University. Requirements

  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background check.

Nice To Haves

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Previous research experience preferred.
  • A combination of education and proven experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Works with project PI to collect, record and assess research data.
  • May write and test code according to project specifications.
  • Assesses data and analyzes results.
  • Attends meetings and participates in various seminars/training classes as needed.
  • Prepares reports and other dissemination and outreach materials.
