Research Assistant
About The Position
This is a Research Assistant position for the 2026 Spring/Summer Semester, located at the Main Campus within the Faculty of Social Sciences, School of International Development and Global Studies. The position is classified as a Research Assistant (CUPE) and is a research-focused role. The total work hours are 130, with an hourly rate of $31.89 for undergraduate students and $50.25 for graduate students (2024-2025 rates, subject to ratification of a new collective agreement). Requirements
- MA degree in political science, ideally with peace & conflict concentration.
- Competence in Arabic language and peace building literature, ideally at very advanced level (PhD).
Responsibilities
- Conduct preliminary research on local knowledge in Palestine through interviews, focus groups, secondary data collection and analysis.
- Secure future external fundings for this project on local knowledge.
