About The Position

The Research Assistant will support a collaborative study examining artificial intelligence (AI) use transparency and ethical practices in veterinary scientific publishing. The research aims to investigate how veterinary journal editors perceive and evaluate different levels of AI application in manuscript preparation and to develop evidence-based guidance for AI disclosure policies. This is a wage position established to accommodate a temporary organizational need. As such, TAMU does not guarantee any set number of hours or length of employment in this role.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of computers and computer software related to the position.
• Attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Developing concrete AI use case examples with corresponding prompts and outputs
• Supporting survey design and distribution
• Assisting with data collection and organization
• Contributing to literature review and manuscript preparation
• Identifying and compiling contact information for veterinary journal editors
