About The Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position for UND students only. The role involves assisting with experimental setups, sample analysis communication, and various laboratory tasks.

Requirements

• Background in Chemical and/or Environmental Engineering
• Knowledge of MS Office
• Experience in sample preparation, collection and data logging
• Able to lift 50 pounds max.
• Attention to detail
• Critical thinking
• Flexible thinking
• Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
• Must be a UND student
• Must be eligible to work in the US and complete required employment eligibility verification form
• This position does not support visa sponsorship for continued employment.

Responsibilities

• Building the experimental setup, which involves connecting pumps, columns, and tubing.
• Communicating with the core facility for the analysis of samples.
• Cleaning glassware, preparing reagents, and measuring dissolved organic carbon/nitrogen, UV254, alkalinity, and pH.
