About The Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position for University of North Dakota (UND) students. The role involves assisting with experimental setups, sample analysis communication, glassware cleaning, reagent preparation, and various measurements including dissolved organic carbon/nitrogen, UV254, alkalinity, and pH.

Requirements

• Background in Chemical and/or Environmental Engineering
• Knowledge of MS Office
• Experience in sample preparation, collection and data logging
• Able to lift 50 pounds max.
• Attention to detail
• Critical thinking
• Flexible thinking
• Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
• Must be a UND student.
• Must verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Building the experimental setup, which involves connecting pumps, columns, and tubing.
• Communicating with the core facility for the analysis of samples.
• Cleaning glassware.
• Preparing reagents.
• Measuring dissolved organic carbon/nitrogen, UV254, alkalinity, and pH.
