About The Position

This is a part-time, 20-hour-per-week, grant-funded position with funding secured through May 2027. The position includes up to two days per week of field work and one day per week in the office. The Research Assistant will assist and support the successful completion of all aspects of research or evaluation projects, including all activities related to seeking project funding; recruiting and communicating with subjects; tracking project activities; collecting data; and reporting findings to diverse audiences. The role also completes administrative tasks to assure the effective operations of the department.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, gerontology or equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with basic research methods
  • Proficient in database management and statistical analysis software such as SPSS
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Must have a current valid Ohio driver’s license and automobile insurance and access to personal transportation
  • Minimum of two years of experience in an applied gerontology or related field of research.

  • Manage logistical arrangements for projects, initiatives, or events
  • Travel within the service area for field assignments during work hours.
