About The Position

The Toronto Holocaust Museum is embarking on new content development in response to the rising antisemitism in Toronto and globally. The research assistant will support the development of this new content by doing research on the contemporary manifestations of contemporary antisemitism and its impact as well as surveying other Holocaust and Jewish museums have developed in response to antisemitism and its impact on the various publics they serve.

Requirements

• Be aged between 18 and 30 years old on the start date of the job
• Have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN)
• Be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada, or a person who has been granted refugee status in Canada
• Successful completion of professional references and background checks including Social Media Account(s) and a Police Records Check/Vulnerable Sector Screening

Responsibilities

• Support the development of new content by doing research on the contemporary manifestations of contemporary antisemitism and its impact
• Survey other Holocaust and Jewish museums that have developed in response to antisemitism and its impact on the various publics they serve
