About The Position

The Speranza Lab at Texas Biomedical Research Institute is seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant (RA) to support cutting-edge research on host immune responses to emerging infectious diseases. Our HoPE Lab investigates how immune responses are coordinated and orchestrated within the tissue microenvironment during early infection. This position offers hands-on experience in high-containment research environments, including biosafety level 3 (BSL-3) and biosafety level 4 (BSL-4) laboratories, and is ideal for candidates interested in immunology, infectious diseases, animal research, and computational biology. We use a wide range of standard and advanced immunological and molecular techniques to characterize infection dynamics and define the role of innate immune pathways. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to impactful research in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
