About The Position

Reporting to the KRINS Research Manager, the Research Assistant contributes by working full time on-site at the Centre for Clinical Research and completing assigned research duties within our Central Zone Renal Program clinical areas. This includes performing patient-facing study related tasks, collecting and maintaining study data, and providing general administrative support. We are an interdisciplinary team with a broad range of research interests that reflect the complexities of kidney disease and kidney transplantation. Through our research, we aim to improve care and quality of life for adults living with kidney disease.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in post-secondary education in a Health Science and/or Science related field, or completed post-secondary education in a Health Science and/or Science related field
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint), email and internet
  • Effective communication, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Well-developed organizational, time management and daily planning skills
  • Ability to work well independently as well as within a multi-disciplinary team environment

Nice To Haves

  • Two years’ research related experience preferred
  • CCRP (Certified Clinical Research Professional) or CCRA (Certified Clinical Research Associate) an asset
  • TCPS2: CORE Certification considered an asset
  • Proficiency with current Nova Scotia Health systems (OPOR CIS, OneContent, etc.) an asset
  • Previous experience in a health care/research setting is an asset
