Under general supervision, but following established policies and procedures, performs scientific investigative research in areas related to cancer biology. Ensures implementation of approved research program, adherence to research protocols, development and maintenance of study records. Conducts experiments using in vitro and or in vivo techniques; collects and analyzes data using statistical methodology. Specific tasks will include managing data, preparing and summarizing study results, and other tasks integral to research. The research assistant may have the opportunity to participate in generating presentations and reports as the data permit. Conducts experiments according to established protocols and research methodology using in vivo techniques on animal and/or human serum, and/or in vitro techniques including molecular biology, mammalian cell culture.
