About The Position

The Sillerman Center at Brandeis University is looking for a temporary research assistant to support two key research projects: 'Philanthropic Collaboratives: Challenges, Opportunities, and Community Building' and 'Philanthropy Meeting the Moment and Filling the Gap: An Exploration of How Private Philanthropy Aims to Support Communities at a Time of Uncertainty'. The research assistant will collaborate with the Sillerman team to finalize data collection, conduct data analysis, and contribute to writing journal articles for both projects. This role emphasizes teamwork, with all members contributing equitably. The position requires knowledge of US philanthropy, experience with quantitative and qualitative research methods, strong writing skills, and effective communication for weekly check-ins with a supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Assist on research projects: 'Philanthropic Collaboratives: Challenges, Opportunities, and Community Building' and 'Philanthropy Meeting the Moment and Filling the Gap: An Exploration of How Private Philanthropy Aims to Support Communities at a Time of Uncertainty'.
  • Support and finalize data collection for the research projects.
