About The Position
Rebound is looking for a Research Assistant to assist with tracking data and providing educational information to patients. This is a part-time, temporary position scheduled to end in August.
Requirements
- High school grade 11 or higher.
- Experience with basic data analysis and visualization tools preferred.
- Familiarity with video editing software (e.g. iMovie, Adobe Premier, Final Cut Pro) strongly preferred.
- Independent and proactive.
- Able to take initiative and work with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable troubleshooting tech-related issues and learning new software.
- Interest in medicine, health technology, or surgical education.
Responsibilities

- Download and organize patient daily step count data from smartphones and fitness trackers.
- Assess data to determine if surgical intervention leads to increased daily activity levels.
- Edit and produce short educational videos for YouTube focused on surgical procedures and patient education.
- Work closely with providers to ensure data is accurately abstracted.
- Perform basic computer skills in using the electronic health record and electronic systems to conduct daily documentation of patient information.
- Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and abide by all HIPAA rules and regulations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
