About The Position

This is an adjunct hourly staff research position supporting a variety of research projects under the direction of Professor Nate Oldenhuis. The position is supported by external sponsor funding, and continued employment depends on the availability of those funds; if funding is reduced or discontinued, employment may be modified or terminated in accordance with applicable policies and procedures. The role is based in Durham. Compensation is $20 per hour.

Requirements

• Completion of a yearlong general chemistry course.

Nice To Haves

• Organic chemistry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform research as directed.
• Assist the group with maintaining an organized and hygienic lab space.
• Write reports as required.
• Maintain a lab notebook of research as required.
• Participate in group research communications.
