About The Position

Performs various support functions in a research laboratory using proper procedures to avoid the risk of laboratory-acquired infection or sample-to-sample contamination. Maintains and cleans equipment and the facility; maintains and restocks supplies; and maintains a computer database. Works under direct supervision. Attention to detail is essential while dealing with multiple tasks. Flexibility is important in adjusting to frequent changes in work volume.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Coursework in mathematics and relevant sciences.
  • Previous work experience that demonstrates organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task.
  • Manual dexterity, accurate typing, and good communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and adjust to changes in work volume.
  • Authorization to work and remain in the United States, without necessity for Mayo Clinic sponsorships now, or in the future (for example, be a U.S. Citizen, national, or permanent resident, refugee, or asylee). Mayo Clinic does not participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Excel software is preferred.
