About The Position

This position supports a project focused on validating a Canadian French translation of a motor coordination screening questionnaire with parents of preschool-aged children. The research assistant will be involved in recruitment, follow-up with parents, data collection and analysis, and formatting results. They will also communicate with parents to schedule evaluation sessions with a therapist, conduct literature searches, and manage project documentation.

Requirements

  • Fluent in English and French
  • Organized and motivated
  • Must already have access to and experience with the CHEO REDCap application
  • Basic statistical competency (run descriptive and inferential analyses using software)
  • Strong organizational skills (manage recruitment workflows, scheduling evaluation sessions, tracking participant progress, and maintaining orderly data files and documentation)
  • Attention to detail (ensure accuracy in data collection and documentation, catch inconsistencies/errors)
  • Professional communication
  • Familiar with academic databases and organizing references

Responsibilities

  • Recruitment of participants
