About The Position

This is a new position for a Research Assistant within the Faculty of Social Sciences, specifically in the School of Social Work. The role is for the Fall 2026 Semester and involves research on suicidism and other forms of oppression. The position is classified as a Research Assistant (CUPE) and is part of the research posting type. The total work hours are 130, with an hourly rate of $32.84 for undergraduate students and $51.75 for graduate students (rates are for Sept. 2025 - Aug. 2026 and do not include vacation or statutory pay). The academic year runs from September 1 to August 31. The work is to be performed at the Main Campus.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Social Work
• Strong knowledge of library resources
• Advanced proficiency with the EndNote reference management software
• Demonstrated skills in conducting online research and critical analysis
• Bilingual in French and English
• Good knowledge of suicidism
• Ability to work remotely
• Must successfully complete all mandatory legislated training offered by the University
