About The Position

This role will serve as a research assistant for Project IDEAL, funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). It will be responsible for administering, scoring, and interpreting developmental, language, communication, and autism assessments. The employee will assist in the recruitment and screening of research participants. This role will also be responsible for collecting additional data (e.g., video recordings, play observations) as part of the assessment procedures.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree
  • Less than one year of experience
  • Must be bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Must be able to travel outside of the state of Texas
  • Applicants must be authorized to work full-time in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Conduct screenings (English and Spanish) to determine eligibility screening for the project as well as administer assessments, score protocols, and write up reports for eligible participants
  • Connect with organizations, agencies, and families to recruit participants for the project
  • Responsible for learning data collection systems, data entry, and data analysis under the supervision of faculty
  • Responsible for checking and responding to emails, inputting schedule availability, supporting with meeting note-taking, scheduling participant sessions, and other duties as assigned
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission
  • Ability to comply with University policies
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
