About The Position
A part-time research assistant in the bio-interface soft materials research laboratory of Dr. Sunghee Lee at Iona University. Incumbents in this position will participate in research activities concerning biophysical properties of biological membranes and other soft-materials chemistry research. This position will also assist the PI in management of an undergraduate research group, for facilitating effective scholarly activities and group dynamics.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry/biology or biochemistry
- Familiarity with differential scanning calorimetry
- Familiarity with micropipet manipulation technique with inverted microscopy
- Familiarity with Raman microspectroscopy
- Familiarity with surface and colloid chemistry techniques
- Excellent analytical skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent project management skills
- Excellent time management skills
Responsibilities
