About The Position

The Research Assistant will support data collection efforts, including conducting research participant screening and interviewing in English and Spanish. This role involves maintaining participant tracking logs, ensuring timely and appropriate follow-up, and adhering strictly to HIPAA guidelines and protocols for maintaining Protected Health Information (PHI). The Research Assistant will collaborate with the research team to ensure timely implementation and compliance with grant deliverables and successful completion. Responsibilities also include organizing and managing study datasets using data science tools, assisting in data visualization, and interpreting findings for publications and presentations. The role requires applying and mastering research concepts, practices, skills, or methods of scholarship, and earning CITI and related ethics of research conduct certification. The Research Assistant will also present findings in either written or oral format and collaborate with others in preparing publications and abstracts.

Requirements

  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (verbal and written)
  • Applicant must be enrolled as a full-time or part-time graduate student at Marymount University
  • Must maintain good academic standing
  • MS Office Knowledge
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with data analysis software (e.g., R, SPSS, SAS, Python) is preferred but not required
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

Responsibilities
