About The Position
The research assistant will work under the direction of a Principal Investigator’s program of research focusing on improving memory and brain function in older adults with kidney disease following a 6-months walking program.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education and experience
- Two years of related experience
- Must possess excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication (both written & verbal) skills
- Prior research experience in exercise training, neurocognitive assessment, mild cognitive impairment, and chronic kidney disease is required
Nice To Haves
- A degree in psychology, pre-med, public health, nursing or related field is preferred
Responsibilities
- Assisting with recruitment and clinic interaction
- Assisting with data collection, cleaning, and preparation
- Support with manuscript preparation and submission, including conducting literature searches, manuscript writing and manuscript submissions
- Assisting with administrative tasks as assigned
- Attending all research related meetings
- Working closely with sites and study personnel
- Performing other duties as assigned
