About The Position

This position involves conducting research projects using established protocols, processes, and procedures with minimal or no supervision. The role includes overseeing and assisting with the development and execution of research protocols, questionnaires, recruitment and training of team members, data collection, and the planning and preparation of research documentation and compilation of data. The Research Assistant 2 will recommend and implement improvements to existing methods of analysis or research, analyze and interpret research data, and disseminate the results by writing research reports. There is also a possibility of writing theoretical or methodological reports, papers, or articles related to research activities. Additionally, the role involves assisting with the preparation of grant applications and being responsible for the quality and results of their own work. The position may also involve providing technical guidance and training to research staff, including Research Assistants 1 and Undergraduate/Graduate Student Research Assistants, in the execution of tasks related to research projects. Various administrative tasks related to the project will also be performed.

Requirements

  • A master’s degree in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Public Health, or a related field.
  • Research experience in the health sciences, including data management.
  • Good interpersonal skills and a strong capacity for teamwork.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Programming skills (e.g., SPSS, R).
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Authorized to work in Canada.
  • Willing to work in the province of Quebec.
  • English communication both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities
