About The Position

Cardiology Consultants of Philadelphia (CCP) is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Research Assistant to support clinical and pharmaceutical research activities at their Yardley, PA office. This full-time role involves assisting with study coordination, patient interactions, data collection, regulatory documentation, and research-related administrative duties. Candidates with a Medical Assistant background are encouraged to apply, as direct patient care experience and strong clinical knowledge are highly valued. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and passionate about contributing to research that advances patient care and medical innovation.

Requirements

  • 1 Year Clinical experience working with adult patients, cardiology preferred
  • Clinical Research experience preferred
  • Medical Assistant certification or previous experience as a Medical Assistant, Clinical Assistant, LPN or healthcare support professional, required
  • 1-2 years of Phlebotomy experience required
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, and the ability to multitask
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic medical record (EMR) systems
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information
  • Foundational understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and human research protections

Nice To Haves

  • Good Clinical Practice R3 training preferred
  • IATA certified preferred, but can be provided

Responsibilities

  • Enter data from visit worksheets efficiently & accurately into electronic data collection systems
  • Prepare visit packets and assemble binders
  • Assist study coordinators with research visits
  • Take vital signs as needed
  • Receive and stock investigational product per sponsor specifications
  • Prepare labels & documentation as needed
  • Organize drug cabinets
  • Maintain daily temperature logs
  • Order & stock laboratory supplies as needed
  • Prepare lab kits for phlebotomy
  • Process and ship lab specimens per guidelines
  • Maintain calibration logs and perform quality control tests on equipment as needed
  • Obtain dry ice as needed
  • Assist with reporting adverse events, serious adverse events, protocol deviations, and other study documentation
  • Assist with maintaining physical and electronic study documents
  • Assist with the preparation and organization of Institutional Review Board (IRB) documents, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and human subject protections.
  • Perform phlebotomy, process and ship the specimens
  • Archive files at the end of study
  • Shred study files when archiving is completed
