About The Position

The Education Strategy and Student Success team at the University of Sydney are looking for a Research Assistant to join on a casual basis. This role will contribute to the development of research activities and support their execution. They will support research planning, provide research-related support, and assist with data analysis. They will also collaborate with stakeholders to ensure a seamless flow of research documentation. This position will be highly suited to an Economics Honours student.

Requirements

Tertiary qualification in a relevant field
Has prior experience with statistical software packages such as STATA or R
Has a good understanding of causal inference
Has excellent written and verbal communication skills
Has excellent stakeholder management skills able to build relationships with stakeholders of all levels
Must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this employment to be eligible to apply.

Responsibilities

Contribute to the design and development of research activities, ensuring timely execution of research tasks.
Support compliance with research regulations, policies, and procedures, ensuring projects align with standards.
Assist with data collection and analysis, ensuring data quality and accuracy
Collaborate with stakeholders to support the sharing of findings and progress updates
Manage the documentation process for reports and publications, from drafting to submission, and maintain comprehensive research records.
Facilitate ongoing communication with a broad range of stakeholders and collaborate with team members to continuously improve stakeholder relations.
Coordinate with the team to produce quality reports, verify data accuracy within university systems, and support compliance requirements as needed.
