About The Position
This position is available only to enrolled American University students. Most student positions at American University are eligible to use Federal Work Study (FWS) awards, with a few exceptions. FWS funds cannot be applied to janitorial, construction, partisan or sectarian positions. In this position, you will work closely with a professor to conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses for a project studying the role of state-level Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) regulations.
Requirements
- Good academic standing with a strong GPA.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
- Familiarity with research methodologies, data analysis, and literature review.
- Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with students, faculty, and staff.
- Effective organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
Nice To Haves
- Previous research experience is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Conducting qualitative research to compare and contrast state-level CRA requirements.
- Collecting data for quantitative analysis.
- Writing code to clean the data and conduct preliminary analyses.
- Assisting in preparation of written material and presentations.
