About The Position

Temple University's College of Liberal Arts Psychology Department is searching for a Research Assistant to join their team. This role involves aiding in data collection and management for a multi-site study focused on identifying biomarkers and predictors of clinical and behavioral outcomes in individuals at risk for psychosis and psychiatric comparison groups. The research assistant will be involved in data collection at all time points, administer semi-structured clinical interviews and cognitive tasks, and assist with the collection of biosamples, including EEG data, MRI data, and processing blood samples. The position also includes training on an active clinical trial, assisting with daily lab operations such as participant recruitment, data management, and supervising undergraduate volunteers. Prior experience in a psychological research lab is ideal.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • At least six (6) months of directly related work experience.
  • Experience working or volunteering with individuals with mental disorders and/or similar vulnerable populations.
  • Experience with data management.
  • Excellent organization and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to use one of the following programs or something comparable: SAS, SPSS, R, Qualtrics, Redcap, Python, and/or STATA.
  • Ability to work nights and/or weekends.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working in a psychological research lab.
  • Experience with MRI, EEG, or psychophysiological assessments.
  • Experience working with clinical populations (for example, clinical interviewing).

Responsibilities
