The Office of Attorney General is looking to hire an individual to fill a part-time Research Assistant, Domestic Abuse Homicide Review Panel Coordinator vacancy for our Augusta office, Criminal Division. The Panel’s primary objective is to perform case reviews of closed domestic violence homicides for the purpose of making systemic observations and recommendations with the goal of reducing deaths from domestic violence homicide. The Research Assistant will provide administrative staffing to the Panel in support of its monthly case review and biennial report. The ideal candidate must be self-directed, highly organized, and independent with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. The ideal candidate must be able to communicate pleasantly, clearly and effectively with colleagues, detectives, office staff, members of the public, and attorneys employed both internally and externally to the OAG. The candidate must have strong writing and interpersonal skills.
