This Research Assistant position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Mary Weber in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology. The successful candidate will contribute to cutting-edge research focused on understanding how the intracellular bacterial pathogens Chlamydia trachomatis and Orientia tsutsugamushi use secreted effector proteins to manipulate host cell processes and promote infection. Research projects will utilize a multidisciplinary approach incorporating molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, microbiology, and genetic techniques.
