What you'll do: While this position does not function as an independent researcher, all Research Assistant I activities serve the research goal. The successful Research Assistant I will be highly flexible, able to undertake a number of tasks on a number of different projects simultaneously and will take the initiative to become familiar with all aspects of assigned programs. Under the direction of the Principal Investigator and management of the Research Supervisor as applicable, the Research Assistant I will provide research and administrative support for community, public health, and health services research programs; and will help strengthen the organization’s capacity to better serve and improve public health and healthcare efforts.
Requirements
- 4 Year/Bachelor's Degree in appropriate discipline
- Experience may be considered in lieu of education

- Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 lbs of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. - Occasional Travel - The job may require travel from time- to-time, but not on a regular basis
Responsibilities
- Organizes and maintains program-related documents, databases, and resources, maintaining notes for internal and external meetings as required
- Completes and manages appropriate data collection in a timely and efficient manner as required by internal and external regulatory and funding agencies, as well as research protocols
- Assists with data clean-up efforts, interview transcription and research coding, per research protocols
- Assists with program subject recruitment and enrollment, per research protocols
- Schedules activities in support of the research program
- Assists with contacting appropriate collaborators in order to institute and organize program-related meetings and events
- Assists with the development, promotion, and dissemination of research materials and products
- Delivers presentations both internally and externally in support of the research program
- Maintains good working relationships with those who are involved in the research program, as well as other departments in the organization
- Purchases equipment and supplies within budget
- Assists with strengthening communications and relationships with community members and organizations involved with the research program
- Assists in advocacy activities promoting the mission of the research program
- Attends research meetings and seminars as required or requested
- Performs similar or related duties as requested or directed
