About The Position

The Morgan lab seeks a highly motivated individual to join The Eugene Bell Center for Regenerative Biology and Tissue Engineering as a full-time Research Assistant I. The successful candidate will work on the neurobiology of Parkinson’s disease and also provide general lab support. The candidate will lead a research project and assist the PI and other lab personnel with experiments. Other tasks include performing data analysis, lab maintenance, and minor administrative tasks. Position will be for 1 year, but may be extended beyond this period contingent on funding.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree (B.S. or B.A.)
  • Significant background and coursework in Neuroscience, Cell and Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Physics, or other related topics
  • Strong analytical and computer skills
  • Knowledge of standard laboratory practices
  • Familiarity with general laboratory equipment
  • Ability to work independently

  • Prior experience working with fish or other aquatic species
