About The Position

The Research Assistant I provides assistance to the Principal Investigator and Study Team in coordinating research activities. Work may include routine experiments using established methodologies, data collection and management, and other assigned research activities. The role supports epidemiological studies and other population-based research, including study cohort management and communication with research subjects. The position is hybrid, based at 41–45 Avenue Louis Pasteur, and is scheduled for 20 hours per week on the day shift. A bachelor's degree is required, though relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree. Candidates completing a bachelor's degree have six months from hire to provide degree equivalency verification, or up to one year if starting per diem.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a science field; relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
New graduate with some relevant coursework; 0–1 year of experience preferred.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Careful attention to detail.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize a variety of tasks.
Computer literacy, including familiarity with database tools.
Ability to follow directions and exhibit professionalism.

Responsibilities

Collect, manage, manipulate, analyze, and report data.
Manage study cohorts.
Communicate with research subjects, conduct mailings, follow up on mailings, and obtain necessary documents.
Assist with work related to epidemiological studies and other population-based research.
Assist the Principal Investigator and Study Team in coordinating research activities, including routine experiments using established methodologies and other assigned research work.
